The Chancellor of Austria, Mr. Christian Kern, planted a tree at the Grove of Nations in Jerusalem at the foot of Yad Vashem. The ceremony took place on April 25, 2017. The tree planting ceremony was part of the Chancellor’s visit to Israel, during which he also participated in a number of ceremonies marking Holocaust Heroism and Remembrance Day.
