Trees in KKL-JNF Forests

The Prime Minister of Albania is the 80th head of state to plant a tree in this unique grove.

“An olive tree symbolizes peace, and this is precisely what is needed in Ukraine and also in Israel. ” said President Petro Poroshenko.

On Sunday, October 19, H.E. Dalia Grybauskaitė, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, planted an olive tree at the Grove of Nations in Jerusalem.

“Thank you for inviting me to be here and to participate in an act of friendship and hope for the future.”

In the autumn rain, President Juan Orlando Hernández of Honduras planted an olive tree in the Grove of Nations in Jerusalem.

Bavarian Minister of Agriculture and Forest Management Mr. Helmut Brunner plants an olive tree near the Kennedy Memorial in the Judean Hills, the first tree to be planted after the Shmita (fallow) year.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to take part in this festive ceremony and glad that relations between Lithuania and Israel are developing.”

Every year in August, the Chile-Israel Cultural Institute, the Chilean Embassy and KKL-JNF hold a birthday celebration for the national hero of the liberation of Chile, Cap. Gen. Bernardo O’Higgins, in KKL-JNF Chilean Forest.
